Using songs and lyrics My students keep asking "can't we see a film?" and "can't we listen to music?" If you say yes you get a few points as being a nice teacher. Ask your students to bring their own CDs. Let them choose what songs to use. I have told them that it has to be possible to hear the lyrics and preferable if the CD contains the lyrics in writing and that I want to borrow them in advance to have some control about the contents and the suitability. He has a lot of stripes about Mondays Possible tasks: 1. Discussing: What do the students think about Mondays? 2. Make a cartoon. 3. What are the lyrics about? 4. Translate the lyrics. 5. Practicing which words have capital letters in English (Norwegian doesn't use them for weekdays and months) 6. Write a story about a horrible Monday and read it to the class. 7.
