Name________________________ Date____________________ Poetry Group Activity Today your group will be creating a poem on an assigned topic that relates to the themes found in Romeo and Juliet. Each person in your group will be responsible for creating 2 lines of the poem using assigned poetic devices (literary elements). When you are done creating your two lines, your group will put the poem together so it makes sense. Your poem does not have to go in the order listed below. Your poem should be a total of 8 lines. Your final poem will be written on a piece of paper I will give you and it will be added to the Romeo and Juliet “theme heart.” The title of the poem will be the topic assigned to your group. Indicate in parenthesis at the end of each line what poetic device can be found in that line. At the bottom please write the group member’s names.
