Macbeth    Assignment            

        You will be working as part of a group and doing a series of
       activities.  Be sure to divide the jobs so that each person has
       something important to do.  A mark will be given for the group as a
       whole so it is important that each person do a good job.

       Each group will select a part of the play from the parts available
       and then do the following activities.

       1-  Re-write the scene in everyday speech.  Be sure to preserve the
       original intent and meaning of the scene.
       2- Act out or dramatize the scene for the class, using your
       re-written dialogue.  Be creative and you may use simple props.
       Avoid using real fire, firearms, swords or other dangerous objects.
       3- Explain the significance of the scene to the class.
       4- Hand-in the re-written scene. It would be beneficial to arrange
       to have a member of your group either write it out neatly or type
       it on a word processor.

       4.   II iii  42-118
       5.   IV ii  0--end
       6.   IV iii  160-240

       and EXPLAIN THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE SCENE TO THE PLAY.  Hand-in the
       written assignment on the due date above.
