Play or Film Review ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Play Review B.O. TLW peer correct papers and identify areas of weakness for the whole class to concentrate on. Materials Student reviews Peer feedback sheet Group tally sheet Ant Set Review the essential elements for a successful review. Steps 1. Students get in to groups of 4 based on opinion of play. 2. Students do peer responses on the work based on the peer response sheet. They also keep a separate sheet to tally the areas all students need to work on. Students consider and come up with a general consensus on the number of tallies for the group at the end of the peer corrections. 3. Open discussion on the tallies. Do checks by a person from each group. Is there a problem that all students are facing? How can we work on this problem? Put tallies on an overhead so all students can see them. 4. Split students in to new cooperative settings and repeat steps 1 to 3. 5. Compare the two sets of tallies. Do we all agree on the problem areas for the class? 6. Revisit the requirements of the paper. Ask for any questions Homework Make a final draft for the paper for the next class. It must be typed, have correct spelling and grammar, and take the comments/ suggestions of peers into account. Include all the group feedback and the first draft.
